A little about Grim

GRIM is a one woman business, created and based out of Merseyside. Her jewellery is made with an ancient technique called lost wax casting. This technique is done by creating a form in wax and investing it in a mould. The wax is then burnt out leaving a negative space. Molten metal is poured into that space leaving an exact solid metal copy. After the wax is carved and formed in Merseyside, each piece is cast in Scotland using recycled silver, then hand set and finished back in Merseyside.
"I created GRIM back in 2023 after finishing uni in Liverpool. I've always had creative hobbies even though my degree had nothing to do with art. I was a little stuck, like many in their 20's, on which direction I wanted to take my career and started painting eyes in lockets to sell on Etsy. This grew into learning to make jewellery. I saw others on social media create shapes in wax which miraculously turned into gold and silver, I got hooked. putting my own dark, gothic and spikey aesthetic twist on jewellery making I started my own company." - Katie
